THE TIME IS
COMING!!!
We are only
weeks away from another epic season at PNH.
Hopefully everyone
has been getting out and enjoying the winter. The
old man has laid down a deep foundation of snow
in many parts. With huge early snows in the Midwestern
states and record snowfalls in the Pacific NW, winter
has started out with a bang!
Initial reports
from the Cordova are showing huge snows at our
base. Orca Lodge and our local ski area, Mt.
Eyak is having an excellent season with lots of
snow! Here is a great link to our weather in
Cordova:

WARREN
MILLER
Off the Grid
Did anyone get
to see the latest Warren Miller film, "Off the Grid"?
If you have not yet had the opportunity to see it,
PNH had another really great segment that ended
up closing the film this year. I can say confidently,
it was one of my most memorable segments to be part
of. Both athletes, Kevin Bramble and Monte Meier,
were an absolute pleasure to be with and an inspiration
that still has me fired up! I truly look forward
to having them again in the near future, not to
mention having the honor of introducing the
Coombs piece.
This year we are hosting yet another Warren Miller segment
and I am already looking forward to it. Brothers
Reggie and Zack Christ will be helping us pioneer
new steep lines within the Chugach boundaries.

Congratulations
goes out to our guide Kelly Gray and his new wife
Sara! The wedding this fall in Salt Lake was one
to remember! Kelly is all healed up and he is extremely
anxious for the season to start.
Raif Anderson is
in the running for GM at Sunnyside in Tahoe and
will not be in Cordova this spring...we will miss
Raif and all of his energy big-time, but he is moving
on to greener pastures.
We are happy to
have Walker Milhoan back from Africa safe and sound.
After seeing some of his encounters with wildlife,
women and everything else Africa has to offer, I
think he is happy to be back as well.
Jessica and her
knee are back at 100%. I am sure you will see much
of her in the coming season charging big lines.
Jess and I spent
some time in
Alaska floating some remote rivers in south
western
Alaska this Fall chasing huge Rainbows. I
can only hope that you get to come join us next
summer. With the abundance of salmon, huge
native rainbows and bears, bears and more bears,
it is one trip I would encourage you to take
part of for next summer.
